Modi's tweet to follower goes viral, gets over 6000 retweets
New Delhi: After winning hearts by gifting one of his followers a peacock blue shawl that he wore, Modi is surfing the social media wave again. And this time, it’s all thanks to a jovial tweet by one of his followers.
"One of my followers casually asked me: Do you work for @narendramodi ? I smiled and said: No dear, he works for me..#IAmNewIndia," tweeted Gurgaon based Ajeet Singh. But what followed was unprecedented.
The Prime Minister retweeted his witty joke saying, “Absolutely. Happy to be the Pradhan Sevak for each and every Indian”. And what’s better, the PM's response was retweeted over 6000 times.
Pitching for a 'new India', Modi had earlier tweeted, "A new India is emerging, which is being powered by the strength & skills of 125 crore Indians. This India stands for development."
Addressing the BJP supporters in Delhi after a thumping-victory in UP elections, he said, "We are witnessing a new India, and this victory is a step forward in achieving our aim of success and development."
