Hyderabad: Mother, daughter killed at home
Hyderabad: A 60-year-old woman and her 32-year-old daughter were found dead with their throats slit at their home in Tadlakunta of Chandrayangutta on Friday morning.
The victims were identified as Shahzadi Begum and her daughter Farida Begum. Shahzadi’s husband Mohd Hussain had sent two daughters of Farida to school in an autorickshaw around 8.30 am. He then went to have tea in the nearby hotel at Chandrayangutta crossroads. When Hussain returned at about 8.50 am, he found Rehaman, brother-in-law of Farida, and another person coming out of his house.
The moment they saw Hussain, they fled. Suspected something amiss, Hussain rushed inside his house only to find his wife and daughter lying dead in a pool of blood. Rehaman and Farida’s husband Mehtab Qureshi worked in Dubai, police said.
Together they had bought a house at GM Colony in Chandray-angutta.
The house was registered in Farida’s name. Recently, Rehaman returned to India and started demanding his share of property. The issue was settled after a certain amount was paid to Rehaman. Subsequently, Reham-an started insisting that the entire house be transferred in his name. When that did not happen, Rehaman is suspected to have killed Farida.
