Bengaluru: In Twitter war, BJP chides JD(S) men

Responding to this, Dr Parameshwar tweeted that the BJP was adept in tampering with old videos for its convenience.

Bengaluru: The state BJP has taken the twitter war against the ruling JD(S)-Congress coalition regarding the stone pelting on BJP MLA Preetham Gowda's house and the assault of BJP workers in Hassan by JD(S) workers, to a new high.

In its tweet, the BJP chided JD(S) workers saying, "if JD(S) workers had any self respect, they could have pelted stones at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Dr G. Parameshwar who had once wished that former PM H.D. Deve Gowda consumed poison". According to the BJP social media cell, this remark was made by Dr Parameshwar during the 2018 Assembly election campaign.

Responding to this, Dr Parameshwar tweeted that the BJP was adept in tampering with old videos for its convenience. The BJP then counter-tweeted saying, "don't be offended because of the release of a video clipping lasting a few minutes, what would you say if we released the full contents of the video in which you criticized Mr Deve Gowda? Our intention was to protect you from possible stone pelting by your coalition partner(JD-S)."
