Andhra Pradesh government to take back 300 employees

S.P. Tucker has sent a letter to his TS counterpart S.P. Singh in this regard.

Hyderabad: The AP government has expressed willingness to take about 300 employees of various categories working in the TS Secretariat. AP Chief Secretary S.P. Tucker has sent a letter to his TS counterpart S.P. Singh in this regard. At a recent meeting chaired by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, governments of both TS and AP had agreed to division of Secretariat employees.

Earlier, employees who had opted for AP were allotted to TS and those who opted for TS were allotted to AP. There are about 180 such employees in TS and 900 in AP. Apart from this, 24 employees working in TS and AP secretariats had applied to both governments for mutual transfers. About 100 employees working in TS have requested to be allotted to AP since their spouse are working in AP.

Keeping this in view, the AP government has decided to take 300 employees working in TS. The two governments had also decided to exchange the same number of employees, even if they were not of the same cadre. Since about 900 employees working in AP had opted for TS, the TS government will select this number on the basis of its requirement while exchanging the employees.
