The word “bastard” echoed in the House with member after member from the treasury benches using it in their bid to score a point over the Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, whom they accused of abusing the Chief Marshal of the Assembly,

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy displayed a video of TD members’ scuffle with Chief Marshal and said “He (Naidu) called government servants bastard. What is the meaning of bastard adyaksha (Speaker),” and went on to use the word on some more occasions. Then it was the turn of finance minister Buggana Rajendra-nath Reddy who used the word at least thrice in his speech.
