South Central Railway tops performance chart
Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) on Wednesday bagged the top place in performance amongst all the 16 zones of the Indian Railways for the half yearly period from April to September 2017. Vinod Kumar Yadav, general manager of SCR, said that the selection was based on the analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which had been evaluated in detail and intimated to all the zones by the Railway Board. “We have achieved the targets for the remaining months of the current fiscal.
The Railways came out with a target plan, based on which annual performance agreements along with the target for 2017-18 were signed between the general managers of all zonal Railways and the Railway Board. In this MoU, the general managers agreed to achieve the targets related to 27 identified parameters called KPIs,” he said. The GM said that the SCR achieved the highest of 71.90 per cent points and South Eastern Railway stood second with 69.09 per cent points followed by Western Railway with 66.29 per cent points.
