II PU exams from March 1-17
BENGALURU: The Department of Pre-University Education on Wednesday announced the final time-table for the II PUC exams scheduled to be held in March 2018. As per the schedule, exams will begin on March 1 and continue till March 17. All exams will be held between 10.15 am and 1.30 pm.
The timetable is as follows: March 1 – Economics, Physics; March 2 – IT, Retail, Automobile, Healthcare, Beauty & Wellness; March 3 – Psychology, Electronics, Computer Science; March 5 – Business Studies, Biology; March 6 – Urdu, Sanskrit; March 7 – Political Science, Geology; March 8 – Optional Kannada, Accountancy, Chemistry; March 9 – Logic, Education, Home Science; March 10 – History, Statistics. March 12 – Sociology, Maths, Basic Maths; March 13 – Geography, Karnatic Music, Hindustani Music; March 14 – Kannada; March 15 – Hindi; March 16 – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Arabic, French; March 17 – English.
Around seven lakh students from across the state are expected to appear for the II PU exams and 18,000-20,000 lecturers will be deployed for evaluation work.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait had said that the services of lecturers serving in private colleges will also be taken to complete the evaluation process and announce the results quickly. Last year, the exams were held from March 9 to 27.
The timetable was finalised after considering suggestions and objections from the public till November 24 after publishing the provisional timetable on October 26.
