Hyderabad: Girl receives phone call, commits suicide
Hyderabad: A first-year Chartered Accountant student hanged herself following a phone call at her house on Monday night.
The Narsingi police booked a case of suspicious death and a probe is on.
Narsingi inspector G. Ramana Goud said the student Garima Agarwal was a resident of Hydershakote area in Gandipet. She was pursuing first year CA. On Monday, her family went out for work and reached home at about 4.40 pm.
“Rakesh Agarwal, father of the girl said that he along with his wife Sunitha and his brother Mukesh Agarwal and his kids went out on work and when they returned Garima did not open the door. Mukesh called her, but she did not answer. He then peeped through the kitchen door and found her hanging to the ceiling,” said the police.
The inspector said, “It is found that the girl was on a phone call before she took the extreme step. We are verifying the call data records and will also ask her fellow students if they noticed any unusual happenings with her in the recent past.”
“A case of suspicious death has been registered on her father’s complaint,” the inspector added.
