Hyderabad: The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state police are trying to approach the court in Thane, to get Nowhera Shaik, founder of The Heera Group, to the southern states to question her in the cases registered against her regarding allegations of cheating and money circulation acts.
On Tuesday, the High Court of Judicature, Hyderabad, issued orders cancelling the bail sanctioned by a lower court in Hyderabad. A petition was filed by the Central Crime Station sleuths who had arrested Nowhera in Delhi.
On October 29, Nowhera was granted bail by the Nampally court, but Mumbai police filed a PT warrant in the court and took her into custody for questioning. The court in Mumbai sanctioned 13 days custody of Nowhera.
With the order of the higher court, the police of Kukatpally police and CCS police along with the Crime Investigation Department of Andhra Pradesh are trying to file PT warrants with the court there and bring her to the city and produce in the court. Nowhera is currently in the custody of Thane police.
Meanwhile, the CCS police who have arrested Nowhera’s associate Biju Thomas for supporting her in developing websites and maintaining records of the company, has found that she reportedly used morphed pictures on her website about receiving several awards from top politicians in the country including from Union External Minister Sushma Swaraj.
“It is learnt that the images posted by her in the website are false. We are investigating to find if she really received any award for doing businesses in various countries, and about her doctorate, as officially we know that Nowhera only cleared her SSC examinations,” said a senior CCS official.
