Hyderabad: Monday will be a tough day for the cash-hungry public due to the bank holiday in connection with Guru Nanak Jayanti. The local RBI branch will also be closed.
However, the public can pay their bills at Mee Seva centres or respective counters for property tax, LRS and trade licence fees, electricity and water bills. Monday is the last day when demonetised notes can be used to pay certain category of bills and fees.
Besides the closure of banks on Monday, bank employees are doubtful about the ATMs functioning. All India Bank Employees’ Association secretary B. Seetha Rambabu said that Rs 2,000 notes would be available in ATMs from Monday.
