Chief secretary orders development of Kondaveedu Fort

CS plans evening attractions and scenic beautification

Vijayawada: Chief Secretary Dr K.S. Jawahar Reddy has ordered the development of Kondaveedu Fort in Palnadu district into a popular tourist place.
In a meeting with concerned department officials on Friday, Reddy said, “The 13th and 14th-century Kondaveedu Fort will be fully developed in a manner that will attract foreign tourists.”

He has ordered the officials of R and B, archaeology, endowments, and forest departments to complete the total development works undertaken so far.
Reddy has also ordered the speedy completion of the work of the Shiva temple, which is being done under the aegis of the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple archaeology department.

The CS also said that attractions like sound and lighting will be made available in the fort premises to make the visitors happy in the evening.

Similarly, Reddy ordered the officials to develop large-scale beautification inside and outside the fort along with outside parks and landscaping.
