Conveyor system to shift clothes left by Bhavani Deeksha devotees

Efficiency and cleanliness upgraded for devotees at Vijayawada Temple

Vijayawada: Vijayawada municipal commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar on Friday proposed a conveyor belt to remove clothes left by Bhavani Deeksha devotees at the ghat of the Saneeswara Swamy Temple here.

Traditionally, sanitary workers manually transported the clothes discarded by Bhavani devotees after concluding their Deekshas from the base of the ghat to the upper areas.

During his inspection of the Saneeswara temple area along with chief engineer Prabhakar, executive engineer Satyanarayana and assistant medical officer Iqbal Hussian, the commissioner suggested installation of a conveyor belt system. This would efficiently transport the devotees' clothes to the designated areas.

Swapnil Dinkar said this initiative will simplify work of the sanitary team, enhance efficiency and improve overall cleanliness in and around the temple premises. This will be a seamless experience for both devotees and temple workers, he added.
