Hyderabad: US President Donald Trump’s daughter and White House adviser Ivanka is most likely to stay in Westin Hotel during her two-day stay in Hyderabad to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in November, though Falaknuma Palace is also on the list.
The state government has suggested both hotels for her stay. One of the hotels will be selected after security teams from US and Delhi clear it.
IT and industries secretary Jayesh Ranjan said, “Westin Hotel stands the preferred choice as it is located just 3.5 km from HICC, the venue of the summit, on security grounds. We are waiting for the final clearance from the Centre."
Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, as the luxury hotel is known, is located in Raheja IT Park in Madhapur in the heart of the IT Hub.
Mr Ranjan said that the state government will spend '8 crore on hosting the event. This doesn’t include beautification of the areas surrounding the venue, which will be taken care of by the GHMC. The state government will also host a dinner at the Golconda Fort for the delegates.
The summit with the theme ‘Women first, prosperity for all’ will be attended by 400 entrepreneurs from the United States, 400 from India and 400 from rest of the world.
