It’s taking more than 10 minutes to cross even a few metres. This is the worst traffic jam I have seen in my life,” said Ashwath, a government official.
Meanwhile, vehicles had queued for about 4 km from Richmond Road towards K.R. Market due to rain and bad roads.
On Mysuru Road, a KSRTC was submerged at the Nayandahalli junction and passengers were moved to safety.
On Race Course Road, the traffic police faced the wrath of the people as they reportedly blocked one side of the road for VIP movement, leaving thousands of commuters in the pouring rain.
A biker was injured when a building partially collapsed on him at Vyalikaval around 9 pm.
