Hyderabad: Former IAS officer B.N. Yugandhar passed away in the city on Friday of a brief illness. Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, is his son.
Yugandhar, 1962 batch IAS officer of the undivided AP cadre had worked in the state and Central cadre and held key positions, including the post of secretary in the PMO. He assumed key positions in the P.V. Narsimha Rao and Manmohan Singh regimes.
He served as the member of Planning Commission and also as director of Lal Bahadur Shashtri National Academy of Administration, Mussorie.
In his condolence message, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao described Yugandhar as a sincere, honest officer who was known for his simplicity.
The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family especially Mr Satya Nadella.
