Bengaluru: Peenya police registered a case against a dog owner for assaulting and threatening another pet parent after a fight over their barking dogs. The police said that Chandini, a resident of Doddabidarakallu, filed a complaint saying that she was visiting her mother’s place in Maranna Layout with her pet dog. As she was walking up the stairs with her dog to the first floor around 9 pm, another dog on the ground floor started barking at her pet.
When both the dogs started barking at each other, Chandini shouted at her dog to keep quiet and started pulling it up the stairs. But Asha, a resident of the ground floor, rushed out of her house and started a fight saying Chandini was abusing her. Later, Asha assaulted Chandini and her grandmother, besides issuing life threats, the complaint stated. The complaint was filed 10 days after the incident, and the police are examining it.
