Actress assault: Kerala High Court questions delay in actor probe

The police replied that they had obtained permission the magistrate court for questioning him.

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has expressed displeasure over the delay in concluding the probe into the actress attack case in which actor Dileep is under custody. The police submitted that Nadirsha, actor- director, has not been arrayed as an accused and that he is a witness in the case.

The court asked the police about the delay while considering the anticipatory bail plea of Nadirsha and asked him to appear before the investigation officer at 10 a.m. on September 15. It posted the case to September 18. When the bail petition came up for hearing, the Director-General of Prosecution submitted that Nadirsha was not an accused now in the case. The investigation officer had issued a notice to the petitioner only to clarify some points which were collected during the investigation.

The court also criticised the police for questioning Pulsar Suni even after filing a final report against him in the case. The police replied that they had obtained permission the magistrate court for questioning him. The court also asked what is the role of Nadirshah in the case. The DGP submitted that as of now he was not implicated in the case and that he was the main witness.
