Tighter security for Bhima Pushkaralu
HYDERABAD: Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy has instructed officials to make arrangements for tighter security for the upcoming Bhima Pushkaralu. He conducted a review meeting at the Secretariat on Monday. The minister said that the pushkaram was going to begin on October 11 at about 7.20 pm. He said that since the Bhima River flows only in the Mahabubnagar district, the Ghats have to be built in that area. He instructed the officials to build bathing ghats at Sukra Lingampalli, Kusumoorthy and Tangidigi villages.
The minister also instructed the officials to provide showers at the bathing ghats. Dressing rooms, drinking water, roads and parking places have to be built for the comfort of the people, Indrakaran Reddy said. He also asked the officials to make the highways better for travellers on their way to the Bhima River. The officials said that a total of Rs 12 crore would be required for the arrangements. In the past, Bhima Pushkaralu was arranged in 2006.
