Tirupati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will visit Tirupati on Monday as part of Independence Day celebrations. He will inaugurate an urban housing project near Tirupati on Monday and later the ACB, Intelligence and Vigilance offices at police parade grounds.
The Chief Minister will also hold meetings at Padmavati guesthouse.
On Tuesday, Mr Niadu will participate in the state-level Independence Day celebrations at Tarakarama stadium. Security measures are in place with a tight vigil planned during the tour of the Chief Minister.
A trial run of the convoy was held on Sunday to identify traffic control and other technical problems. A rehearsal of the parade and cultural events for I-Day celebrations was arranged at Tarakarama stadium on Sunday.
