Nayeem probe: SIT to investigate four murders

Officials find 20 more dens filled with loot.

Hyderabad: The SIT probing gangster Nayeem linked cases is investigating the murders of four people belonging to Nayeem’s family including a child, who were allegedly killed by Nayeem and his gang. The police have also found 20 more dens of Nayeem, with hidden loot.

Meanwhile, on Saturday alone, around 60 victims of Nayeem approached the police. Cops said the unsolved murders of Nadeem aka Vijay Kumar and a woman named Nasreen, both relatives of Nayeem, has now turned out to be the handiwork of Nayeem and his men. Officials have evidence to show the gangster eliminated the two due to a financial dispute. Officials said that Nadeem was a nephew of the gangster.

Police also suspect that the other two victims, a woman named Heena, wife of Aleem, and her daughter Chiyan, who have been missing since two years, were also murdered. “We are trying to find their bodies,” an official said.

The cops have started searching 20 buildings in the city and its outskirts to find cash and land documents. Meanwhile, the SIT said they have got around 60 calls from the victims of Nayeem, who are ready to file complaints. Nayeem and his gang had either attacked or extorted money from them. “The victims have been asked to register complaints at nearby police stations. The concerned SHOs have been instructed to register cases and transfer the CD files to SIT,” said an official from SIT.

The SIT has also released photos of Nayeem and have asked people to report if the person had lived in their localities. The public can approach the SIT if they have any information. One of the photos showed Nayeem dressed as a woman to escape the police.

One more held, new cases filed
The police has registered four more cases in connection with Nayeem’s illegal activities. The Korutla police of Karimnagar district registered the FIRs after they received complaints from people who claimed that the gangster had extorted money from them. The victims did not come out earlier fearing the gang. The Korutla police is now searching for the local associates of Nayeem, who disappeared after the encounter.

Police said that all the new cases registered in connection with Nayeem will be transferred to the SIT. The police has arrested one more associate of Nayeem, but he has not been identified.
