Karnataka: Lab technician dies in accident
BENGALURU: A 47-year-old lab technician was killed while her husband and two children suffered injuries when their car rear ended a highway patrol vehicle near Mathikere Village in Channapatna in Ramanagara district early Saturday.
The lab technician, Bhanumathi, died on her way to the hospital, while her injured husband Murugan (50), who was driving the car and their son Harandev and daughter Harini were injured. They are residents of Chennai and had come to city to attend a function. The family was on their way to Mysuru to visit a relative.
According to the police, the accident took place around 6 am when the family was going to Mathikere Village. Murugan failed to notice the patrolling car which was moving at a low speed and rear-ended it.
