Two SCCL rescue team members missing in Peddavagu during rescue operations

ADILABAD: Two rescue-team members of Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) were missing in water in Peddavagu while participating in the flood rescue operations there.

The team was involved in shifting the affected villagers from low-lying areas to safer places in Pesarakunta village in Dahegoan mandal of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on Wednesday.

The missing team members were Satish and Ramu of Mandamarri.

According to sources, villagers were taking shelter in a school building in Pesarakunta following the floods. The SCCL rescue team that went to the spot on a request from local MLA Koneru Konappa was in the process of shifting flood victims to safer places.
