What did Ballari Congress MLA Nagendra say to BS Yeddyurappa?
Bengaluru: In a swift political development, State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa spoke to Ballari Congress MLA Nagendra who is said to be admitted to a private hospital here on Saturday.
According to sources, though it is said a ‘courtesy call’ but it could be a lot more than meets the eye, especially in the wake of trust vote being sought by CM H.D. Kumaraswamy to prove majority for Congress-JD(S) coalition government. Early this year, Mr Nagendra had identified himself with Gokak rebel Congress MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi-the architect of revolt in Congress camp. However, he stayed away from Mr Jarkiholi after stern warning from state leaders, including D.K Shivakumar. Mr Nagendra is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the city.
Meanwhile,Mahadevapura BJP MLA Arvind Limbavali and Arabhavi BJP MLA Balachandra Jarkiholi left for Delhi to brief BJP President Amit Shah about political developments in Karnataka. The duo, according to sources, were expected to meet Mr Shah tonight or Sunday morning to seek his directions on the next course of action in the wake of resignation by 16 Congress and JD(S) lawmakers.
