VIJAYAWADA: With the support of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) leaders, one Nagarjuna and his family members staged a protest in front of former Speaker K. Siva Prasad Rao’s house at Narasaraopet, in Guntur district, on Saturday. They alleged that the former Speaker’s son Kodela Sivaram had assured to provide a job to Nagarjuna at the collectorate two years ago and had taken Rs 7 lakh as bribe from him for the same. They staged the protest to get back the money.
MRPS leader Kalva Ravi said that he introduced one M. Nagarjuna to Kodela Sivaram for getting a job in any government office. He said that Kodela Sivaram assured to provide a job at the collectorate and demanded to pay Rs 7 lakh to give an appointment letter. So, Nagarjuna allegedly paid Rs 7 lakhs to him in two instalments.
MRPS leader Ravi alleged that Kodela Sivaram had taken Rs 7 lakh from M. Nagarjuna by assuring to give appointment as an attender in the collectorate office in Guntur. Hence, he allegedly paid Rs 5 lakh to Sivaram as the first instalment and further, Sivaram’s personal assistant G. Nagaprasad demanded to pay the remaining amount of Rs 2 lakh to give an appointment letter, after three months.
The victim Nagarjuna allegedly handed over the remaining amount of Rs 2 lakh by expecting an appointment order.
