Tough law to curb attacks, says G Kishan Reddy
Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home G. Kishan Reddy on Saturday said that the Centre will bring in tough legislation to check attacks on women and children. He also said that the Centre has a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism.
While speaking to reporters during his tour of Ameerpet and Sanathnagar, a part of his Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency, Mr Reddy said the Centre would consult and convince state governments to implement the new laws. He alleged that the TRS government in the state has failed in preventing the attacks on children and women.
He said that the Narendra Modi government “would act with zero tolerance and function more effectively in the coming days to root out and check terrorism.”
The minister lauded the BJP-led NDA government, claiming there had been no communal clashes or curfews during its first term. During his tour, Mr Reddy attended the Satya Sai Paduka Puja organised by the Sathya Sai Seva Organisation.
