Hyderabad: The traffic police has issued an advisory to motorists in view of the Golconda Bonalu celebrations on Sunday.
Additional commissioner, traffic, Anil Kumar said traffic restrictions will be in place from 6 am to 10 pm as heavy traffic and congestion is expected. Motorists not heading to the fort were advised to take alternative routes.
The following three routes leading to the Golconda Fort are expected to be heavily congested: From Ramdevguda via Makkai sarwaaza, from Langar Houz via Fateh darwaaza and from Seven Tombs via Banjara darwaaza.
The following parking arrangements have been made for those attending the festivities. From Ramdevguda side: Two-wheelers from Ashoorkhana to Military sentry point; four-wheelers at Ashoorkhana parking place and main road at Ramdevguda Junction.
From Langar Houz side: Two- and three-wheelers parking at Huda Park; four-wheelers to proceed through Banjara darwaaza via Nanalnagar crossroad, Tolichowki, Shaikpet nala, Seven Tombs, parking at Salar Football Ground or Owaisi Grounds.
From Seven Tombs: Parking for two- and three-wheelers at Priyadarshini School, area hospital and bus stop near the Golconda Fort; four-wheelers to proceed from Banjara darwaaza via Seven Tombs, parking at Salar Football Grounds or Owaisi Grounds.
