Hyderabad: One killed as bike rams into parked lorry
Hyderabad: A man riding a two-wheeled died on the spot in a road accident after ramming a parked lorry near an HP petrol bunk on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) under Abdulla-purmet police limits. The accident took place during the wee hours on Saturday.
According to the Ab-dullapurmet police, the rider S.K. Khadir Masthan, 49, and his wife Kasimbe were on their way to Guntur on a two-wheeler (TS08 FE 3692) when the accident took place.
“As they approached the petrol bunk, Masthan rammed a lorry (TN05 AF 8181) which was parked beside the road, from the rear. He received severe bleeding injuries and died on the spot. His wife sustained bleeding injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Her condition is critical,” Abdullapurmet inspector S. Devender said
The police first shifted the body of the deceased to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for its postmortem examination and then handed it over to his family members.
A case was registered and investigation is underway, the police official said
