HD Deve Gowda suggested trust vote move to HD Kumaraswamy?

Gowda thought that the trust vote could be the best solution under the present circumstances, revealed sources within the JD(S).

Bengaluru: JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda suggested to his son and Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to seek a trust vote on the floor of the House. After considering four or five options, Mr Gowda thought that the trust vote could be the best solution under the present circumstances, revealed sources within the JD(S).

“In the worst case scenario, Mr Kumaraswamy may have to resign after losing the trust vote. But while doing it, he can expose the legislators who resigned and abandoned him. We feel that this will create a sympathy wave in the Old Mysuru region," they said.

Mr Kumaraswamy's statement on Friday that he will show the media how the numbers will go in his favour over the next three days was mere braggadocio and without any substance, the sources said.
