TSPSC told to list corrected OMR sheets

The petitioners questioned the sanctity of the OMR sheet saying that there was absolutely no security, secrecy or confidentiality.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday asked the TSPSC to submit details on the number of candidates who used whitener in the Group II exams.

Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao was admitting a petition by M. Ravinder Goud and others challenging the TSPSC’s decision to consider the candidates who used whiteners in OMR sheets while providing personal information in the written examination conducted for Group II posts.

The petitioners questioned the sanctity of the OMR sheet saying that there was absolutely no security, secrecy or confidentiality in the said OMR sheets of Group-II test.

B. Rachana Reddy, counsel for the petitioners, submitted that it was impossible to rule out fraud or manipulation as there was no way to differentiate between the personal information of the candidates and their performance with the usage of whiteners.
