O Panneerselvam holds talk with villagers to solve water dispute

Villagers have been protesting against Pannerselvam for refusing to give them water from his wells for the last one month.

Theni: Former Chief Minister Chief Minister O. Pannerselvam held talks with people of Lakshmipuram village to solve water supply dispute at the circuit house in Theni till late Thursday evening.

Villagers have been protesting against Pannerselvam for refusing to give them water from his wells for the last one month. They also claimed that the former CM had dug two big wells to supply water to around 1,000 acres of his farm land.
As he had deepened his wells, the common borewells had also dried up, the villagers said.

To solve the issue, Panneerselvam's brother held meeting with people in the morning. The former CM who visited Theni in the evening, continued discussion with people more than an hour in the presence of senior government officials.
