Speaking to the media, vice-chancellor of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences B. Karunakar Reddy said that seats for AYUSH courses would be filled based on ranks obtained in Eamcet-I. He said that 50 per cent of seats in private colleges, including 35 per cent under management quota and 15 per cent under NRI quota, would be filled through ranks obtained in Neet. Eamcet-2 was necessitated as the Supreme Court initially make Neet mandatory nationwide for medical colleges, and then gave exemptions for this year to some states including TS.
