More time to install GPS on vehicles: Kerala Transport minister
As per the directions, the GPS system was mandatory on vehicles in public transport systems except autorickshaws from June 1.
Thiruvananthapuram: Transport minister A.K. Saseendran on Thursday said that the government would give more time for public transport vehicles to fit with GPS.
As per the directions, the GPS system was mandatory on vehicles in public transport systems except autorickshaws from June 1.
This was decided at a meeting held with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The minister also asked the joint council of Motor Vehicle owners to call off their token strike on June 18 across the state to protest against the decision to make GPS facility mandatory in public transport vehicles including private buses and school buses
