KARUR: The DMK president M.K. Stalin said his party has always been with the people whether they won an election or not.
Stalin made this remark while addressing a thanksgiving meeting to voters of Aravakurichi Assembly constituency and Karur Lok Sabha seat, at Aravakurichi near here on Thursday.
Stalin said he had asked the DMK candidates, who won in the recent Lok Sabha and by-elections to the 22 Assembly segments that they should meet thepeople, hear their grievances and take up the same with authorities concerned to find suitable remedies for them.
He expressed confidence that DMK-front will also win the ensuing local bodies elections and the question of winning those elections “is as much important”, as it would help to implement the basic amenities of the people through the respective local bodies.
Later, Stalin inaugurating a free sewing training unit organised by the Karur district DMK at Pallapatti, as part of fulfilling the party’s election manifesto.
Among others, Karur Lok Sabha member Ms. Jothimani and Aravakkurichi DMK MLA Senthil Balaji, spoke.
