Kaleshwaram project to bring back ‘golden era’ to farming sector: Etela

“Mr Rao has been taking all the necessary measures to provide basic facilities in the newly formed districts.

Peddapalli: Health minister Etela Rajender said on Thursday that the TRS government is determined to provide good governance to the people.

Accompanied by welfare minister Koppula Eshwar, Mr Rajender inaugurated the buildings at the collector’s camp office in Peddapalli district.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rajender said that for the convenience of the people and to provide good governance, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao re-organised the districts, by forming 23 new districts.

“Mr Rao has been taking all the necessary measures to provide basic facilities in the newly formed districts. As part of this, integrated collectorate buildings have been constructed in the newly formed districts,” Mr Rajender said.

“In Peddapalli district, construction works of the integrated collectorate building began with an investment of `33 crore, in around 23 acres of land and the works are in their final stage of completion,” he added.

Mr Rajender said that under the leadership of Mr Rao, the state has been heading towards development in all sectors and has been an example for other states across the country.

“The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation scheme, which was completed within a record time of three years, is going to yield fruitful results from this year. Every inch of land in the state is going to become fertile and a ‘golden era’ is sure to return for the farming community in the state. The state is going to become Annapurna,” the health minister opined.

Speaking on the occasion, district collector Devasena said that as per the orders issued by the Chief Minister, construction works of integrated collectorate building began on a war footing and that it would be completed within two months along with shifting of all the government departments to one place.

Zilla panchayat chairperson Tula Uma, joint collector Vanaja Devi, MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy, Ramagundam MLA K. Chander, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, Bhanu Prasad, libraries department chairman Raghuveer Singh and former MLA and newly elected zilla parishad chairman of Peddapalli ZP Putta Madhu were present along with others.
