Tamilisai Soundararajan hails Jayalalithaa's decision to meet Modi
Chennai: BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, who has been a strident critic of the AIADMK during the Lok Sabha and recently concluded Assembly election, appears to have softened her stand towards the AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa following the latter’s decision to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
Speculation is rife that the change in her stand comes close on the heels of the party’s Allahabad conclave on Sunday. “I welcome CM J. Jayalalithaa meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Dr Tamilisai tweeted on the party’s official Twitter site.
The senior BJP leader also demanded that all the seven Rajiv Gandhi assassination convicts be released as per law. The convicts in the 1991 Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, Murugan, Santhan, Perarivalan, Nalini, Robert Payas, Jayakumar and Ravichandran, have completed quarter century in jail.
“People are reaping the full benefits from the corruption-free governance provided by the BJP,” she tweeted.
