Hyderabad: As many as 250 passengers bound to London, were stranded at the Shamshabad airport, when the British Airways cancelled the flight without notice.

British Airways Flight BA 277 was scheduled to arrive at Hyderabad in 4.30 am and return to London. When the flight did not land as scheduled, passengers inquired with the airline only to be told that it had been cancelled due to a technical snag before it took from Heathrow. Angry passengers staged a protest for an alternative.

Later officials arranged for the passengers to stay at a nearby hotel.  In another incident, passengers who were supposed to travel to Vizag in a Spicejet flight faced a delay due to a technical snag in the aeroplane’s engine. The plane later took off for Vizag.
