Chennai: The State government announced a reshuffle of top bureaucrats that saw T Udhayachandran, Chief Minister’s Secretary-I, being shifted to finance and N Muruganandham taken out of finance and made Chief Minister’s secretary-I after according sanction ‘to create a temporary post of Additional Chief Secretary/Secretary-I to the Chief Minister in the chief secretary grade.’
Notable among the transfers announced on Saturday was the placing the services of J Radhakrishnan, who was in charge of cooperation, food and consumer protection, at the disposal of the Greater Chennai Corporation.
Among the others are shifting P Amudha to home, prohibition and excise from rural development, K Phaindra Reddy from home, prohibition and excise to transport, K Gopal to Vigilance from transport and Gangandeep Singh Bedi from Corporation Commissioner to health and family welfare department.
From health and family welfare, P Senthilkumar goes to rural development, K Manivasan from PWD to tourism, culture and religious endowment, which was earlier with B Chandra Mohan, who now goes to PWD.
D Jaganathan has been posted to cooperation, food and consumer protection from public rehabilitation, while K Nantha Kumar has been transferred to human resources management from commissioner of school education.
Mythili K Rajendran is shifted out of human resources management to Commissioner of Indian medicine and Homeopathy, which was with S Ganesh, now made director of economics and statistics, for which Vikaram Kapur was holding additional charge so far.
