Party will take a call on TRS’ help: Mohammad Azharuddin

Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, he said the mood was favourable for the Congress across the country.

Hyderabad: TPCC working president Mohammad Azharuddin said on Monday that if the UPA required the support of the TRS to from government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress high command would look into it.

Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, he said the mood was favourable for the Congress across the country. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election campaign speeches were more about criticising former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi’s family than about the development brought by the NDA government in the last five years.

On the issue of the disused mosque at Amberpet, he alleged that the GHMC had illegally de-molished it. He said that the officials did not give respect to the mosque though it was very old.

He asked on what basis was the compensation paid to those who had occupied the Wakf property.
