City tops with the highest expenditure of Rs 63.37 cr

Adilabad: Providing compensation for wage loss of Rs 12,000 to pregnant women receiving health services from public health institutions in the state under ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme is aimed at improving institutional deliveries in the government hospitals and to reduce the child and mother mortality rate in the state.
The scheme is also aimed by the government at safe motherhood and full immunisation of the child.
However, this financial benefit includes the maternity benefit of Rs 6,000 by the Centre. The government has accorded administrative sanction for Rs 150 crore for the of the scheme for 2017-18.
