Hyderabad: Technical snag sees Air India's flight making emergency landing

Till the last report all the 96 passengers were waiting at the airport for alternative arrangements by the Air India.

Hyderabad: Air India’s flight consisting of 96 passengers scheduled from Hyderabad to Pune did an emergency landing on Saturday evening at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Official sources said that the flight (No: 9I-868) was scheduled to depart at 8.27pm from RGIA and it took off at the scheduled time.

After 20 minutes from take off, the pilot observed some technical problem in the flight and informed the same to the Air Traffic Control at RGIA and sought approvals for emergency landing. The flight landed at 8.58 pm.

Till the last report all the 96 passengers were waiting at the airport for alternative arrangements by the Air India.

Officials said that there were technical issues with an engine of the flight and their engineers were sorting out the problem.

Meanwhile, IndiGo flight from Delhi to Pune took emergency landing at RGIA on Saturday morning due to bad weather conditions in Pune.
