Visakhapatnam: Gone are the days, when summer camps were confined to some indoor games and sports activities.
A summer camp, Summer Adventura, is now being blended with adventurous activities for children between the age group of 8-18 years. Adventure activities include trekking, rock climbing, rappelling, zip line, slack line, boating, moonlight trekking and star gazing.
Protégé, a behavioral and leadership skills training company is organising the summer camp to provide ‘experiential learning’ and ‘adventure activities’ in a nature setting, far away from the hustle bustle of the city to the children.
“Participants in the camp are put through various challenges and fun tasks to develop leadership and behavioral skills. Critical thinking, change and conflict management, interpersonal and communication skills, physical and mental fitness are some of the crucial areas to benefit a camper,” said Joel S Godi, founder of Protege.
