Depression off Sri Lanka not to hit Telangana
The city recorded 41.2ºC on Friday.
Hyderabad: An upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka coast from Saturday to May 16 will bring heavy rain over AP and Tamil Nadu.
Weather officials said Telangana would not be affected. In fact, due to declining thunderstorm activity, the day temperatures are likely to increase by 1-2ºC.
The temperatures over the last two days have seen an increase in Telangana districts as the intensity of thunderstorm activity waned.
The city recorded 41.2ºC on Friday, a 1.5ºC increase from Thursday. IMD sounded a heat wave warning, saying temperatures may rise 2-3ºC above normal.
