4 arrested as TD, YSRC workers clash

On learning about the incident, YSRC Assembly candidate Hafeez Khan reached the spot and filed a complaint at the police station.

Kurnool: A tense situation prevailed in the old town area in Kurnool at midnight on Friday over the clash of TD and YSRC activists. The flare-up is said to have been caused over a polling booth concern wherein the YSRC objected to some TD activists casting votes. In this scuffle, four persons belonging to the YSRC and the TD suffered injuries.

On learning about the incident, YSRC Assembly candidate Hafeez Khan reached the spot and filed a complaint at the police station. Demanding immediate arrest of the accused, Mr Khan alleged that TD activists were behaving in an unruly manner and attempting to create unrest in Kurnool.

Circle inspector Vikrama Simha said that the two groups clashed with each other over a simple issue at a tea stall, and the argument between them resulted in a physical fight. "Based on the complaint, the police have arrested the four persons involved in the issue," the CI said.
