Thiruvananthapuram: Fee Regulatory Committee headed by Justice Rajendra Babu on Friday has fixed the fee for MBBS courses of the Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaram for the academic year 2017-18 and 2018-19 at Rs 4.85 lakh and Rs 5.60 lakh respectively. The Committee fixed the tuition fee for the Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaram, for the academic year 2017-18 at Rs 14 lakh and and Rs 20 lakh per annum, per student for the academic year 2018-19, admitted under NRI quota category to the MBBS course.
Out of Rs 20 lakh, Rs 5 lakh will be used for corpus fund for BPL category students. The above amount should be remitted to the government as corpus fund for the scholarship programme as and when a direction is received from government, fee regulatory committee or the court. The amount collected, if any, in excess of the above for the academic year 2017-18, will have to be returned or adjusted against the future tuition fee.
