Setback in Malegaon blast case
Accused were granted bail after the NIA arrested members of right wing Hindu group saying that these people were behind the blast.
Mumbai: In a setback to 9 Muslim men arrested in connection with 2006 Malegaon bomb blast case, the NIA while responding on their discharge application told the court that it is not in favour of discharging these accused.
The special MCOCA court was hearing discharge application by nine Muslim accused. These accused were granted bail after the NIA arrested members of right wing Hindu group saying that these people were behind the blast.
The NIA filed chargesheet against Lokesh Sharma, Dhan Singh, Manohar Singh and Rajendra Choudhary and on the basis of this the Muslim accused filed discharge application saying the NIA has given them clean chit.
