37 colleges get notice for vacation classes

Hyderabad: As many as 37 private junior colleges were issued showcause notices by the regional inspections officer of the Board of Intermediate Education on Wednesday.
Teams from a special task force have been conducting raids through Tuesday and Wednesday to identify violations by the managements. RIO Ravi Kumar said that the 37 colleges were found organising classes during summer vacations — which is against the rules.
“Narayana junior colleges at Tarnaka, Mehdipatnam, various branches of Sri Chaitanya, Tapasya Junior College, Sri Gayatri, Guru and other colleges received notices,” he said.
