Vijayawada: Carrom champ’s kin donate to NGO

She lamented that the governments are failing to provide compensation to the victims.

Vijayawada: National carrom player Husna Sameera’s parents donated Rs 25,000 to HELP, the organisation that takes care of girls rescued from human traffickers.

Dr Sameera’s father and founder of Haseena Welfare Trust, Hyderabad, Sk. Abdul Khadar and mother Dr Sk. Sajida visited the HELP office in Vijayawada on Wednesday and handed over the cheque to the NGO’s secretary Nimmaraju Rammohan, in the presence of District Child Welfare Committee chairman Dr B.V.S. Kumar.

Mr Abdul Khadar said “Cheating minors and using them for business is a crime, and everyone should aware of saving a minor girl from the sexual exploitation and trafficking,” he said.

Dr Sajida said that one should come forward to support girls rescued from human traffickers.

She lamented that the governments are failing to provide compensation to the victims.

Dr Sajid said that the family run Trust is re supporting girls, senior citizens and orphans along with poor students in both the Telugu states.
