38, 500 write SSLC exams in Kozhikode
Kozhikode: As many as 38,500 students at more than 200 centres in the district appeared for the SSLC exams that started on Wednesday.
As per official records, Thamarassery educational district had the highest number of students (15,228), followed by Kozhikode (14,176) and Vadakara (9,339). More than 60 per cent of them is girls.
Deputy director of education E.K. Suresh Kumar said that the first day started with Malayalam and the feedback on the subject was positive, both for students and teachers.
All the required facilities were made in the schools. Owing to the increase in temperature, water and medical facilities were arranged at all centres.
