Telugu Desam MLC resigns from posts
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam MLC and Government Whip P. Rama Subba Reddy submitted his resignation, from Government Whip and MLC posts, on Wednesday.
Mr Subba Reddy sought Jammalamadugu MLA seat from TD to contest in the election. Hence, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu offered Jammalamadugu TD ticket to him and offered Kadapa Lok Sabha ticket to minister C. Adinarayana Reddy who was elected from Jammalamadugu.
There were differences between the duo Reddys since the past few days about Jammalamadugu. Mr Naidu settled the matter by giving various Assembly and Parliament seats to them, under the agreement that Rama Subba Reddy will submit his resignation.
Mr Naidu called Rama Subba Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy on February 8 and conducted talks with them. The duo demanded Jammalamadugu ticket to contest in the elections. Mr Naidu promised Adinarayana Reddy care from the party and offered Kadapa Parliament TD ticket to him.
According to reports, honouring the suggestion and agreement of Mr Naidu, Mr Subba Reddy submitted his resignation now and it was accepted. The Telugu Desam leaders are happy about the pact between the two leaders which would help strengthen TD in Kadapa district which is the bastion of YSR Congress.
