Hyderabad: Members of the Christian community on Wednesday approached DGP M. Mahendar Reddy with a letter seeking protection from Bajrang Dal activists on Valentine’s Day. The activists have been causing a serious threat to public safety every year with their ‘moral policing’, claimed Jerusalem Mattaiah in the letter.
He claimed the activists took videos of couples and shared them online which invaded their privacy and ruined their lives. They had also marched into clubs at Banjara and Jubilee Hills and educational institutes to ‘preach’ how Valentine’s Day is a foreign celebration.
